Departure for Greece
Arrive in Istanbul at the crossroads of Europe and Asia
We will beging with a panoramic city tour of Istanbul, the only city that straddles two continents.
Our first visit is to the Hippodrome, the place where chariot races and competitive athletic events took place during the Roman period.
Continue with a panoramic view of Blue Mosque.
Head to Basilica Cistern, an extensive underground cistern commissioned by Emperor Justinian and built in 532.
Panoramic view of the St. Sophia, the great Byzantine Basilica built in the 6th century and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
After that we will head to our hotel in order to get rest.

Breakfast and departure for the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople. Meeting with his Holiness Patriarch Bartholemew.
Afterward, head to the historic neighborhoods of Balat & Fener. Here, the houses are painted in bright colors, laundry is still hanging across the narrow lanes, kids play in the streets and many different cultures and religions live next to each other.

Next visit the Dolmabahce Palace This palace was built in the mid 1800s to replace an earlier structure that was made of wood.
We will take a relaxing cruise along the Bosphorus, the winding strait separating Europe and Asia. View fishing villages, wooden Ottoman villas and contrasting suspension bridges set against the dramatic outline of the Strait.

After breakfast we will departure for Souroti were is the Holy monastery of St John the Theologos and the grave of Saint Paisios.
Thessaloniki in order to do Visit the open-air market, with its charming paved alleys, stalls filled with fresh produce, fish, meat, spices, dairy products, and many local specialties. After spend free time at Aristotelous Square.

Breakfast early in the morning and taking our way in order to Visit Meteora
Meteora meaning "suspended in the air", with its mystical Eastern Orthodox monasteries incredibly nestled perilously close to the edge of massive rock formations. We will visit two monasterys. Admire the exquisite specimens of Byzantine art and stop at a workshop of Byzantine icons and souvenirs. Enjoy the panoramic vistas over the Peneios Valley.
Following lunch, embark on a scenic drive that takes you along the coast, past Thermopylae to Athens

Depart for a full day excursion to the beautiful Paphos City.
Passing through the English bases, we will stop for photos at Petra tou Romiou, where according to mythology it emerged from the foam of the of waves, or goddess of beauty and Love, Aphrodite
Continue our visit to the column where the Apostle Paul was scourged passing by Agia SOLOMONI which is considered as the chapel of the seven Sleepers and which was a pilgrimage for every Christian of the Middle Ages.
Visit the mansion of Dionysios with its uniquely beautiful mosaics. We will end up at the beautiful port of Paphos with its magnificent fortress. Free time. Late afternoon return to the hotel.

After breakfast, departure to take a tour of the mountainous green resorts of Cyprus.
Stop at Platres, famous for thousands of songs, also known from the poetry of Seferis.
Crossing the Troodos mountain range, which is 1,750 meters above sea level, we will continue to the most famous and richest monastery of Cyprus, the Holy Kykkos. It was founded in 1100 and dedicated to the Virgin Mary. It houses one of the three surviving icons of the Virgin Mary depicted in the Apostle Luke. There at the Throne of the Virgin we will visit the tomb of Archbishop Makarios the 3rd and First President of Cyprus and we will end up in the most beautiful and traditional village of Omodos. Free time. . Return to our hotel in the late afternoon.

Church of Ag. Lazarus. The magnificent temple was built by Emperor Leo VI the Wise in the 9th century and restored in the 17th century. The church is one of the most beautiful examples of Byzantine architecture in Cyprus. His grave is under the Holy Altar of the church.
Stop is the Tomb of Makedonitissa Military cemetery and hero near the monastery of Makedonitissa. Here are buried officers and soldiers, who fell defending Cyprus during the invasion of the Turkish troops in 1974.
We continue our tour to the Incarcerated Graves area of the Nicosia Central Prisons, where the nine hanged men were buried during the 1955-59 Liberation War by the English.
Visit to the holy temple of Ioannis with the wonderful frescoes. Then the Venetian walls of old Nicosia, the Popular Neighborhood
Green line that divides Nicosia into Greek and Turkish sectors. Free time for lunch and shopping. In the afternoon return to our hotel.
